/ The game mechanics:
WHAT IS THE BRIEFING?
The briefing is the first step for every laser game match. All the players gather in the meeting room where they learn how to play, what the rules are and all the safety information.
DO I NEED TO MEMORIZE AND INFORM THE PLAYERS ABOUT THE GAME AND THE REGULATIONS?
No, XRAID Laser Game will provide you with a short informational video explaining the game and rules to players before the game. However, it is necessary for staff to be knowledgeable about each game mode, the mechanics of the game to answer player questions if necessary. Furthermore, they must learn to welcome the players and create a memorable experience for them during the briefing.
WHAT IS THE GAME MODE?
The game mode is a scenario of each game and an adventure to enjoy the game by following the scenario to win the game. Each game mode has a different objective and different variations. Some modes are individual modes where there is no team and all players play against each other and try to collect scores as much as possible. Instead there are some team modes where each team tries to eliminate the opposing team members and conquer their base as well as get higher scores. There are other variations such as number of teams, number of lives, different weapons, number of ammo, shots, reloads and rate of fire, match time
HOW DO PLAYERS RECOGNIZE THEIR TEAM?
In team modes, each team is recognized by a specific color. LED lights on phasers and armor demonstrate team color.
HOW CAN PLAYERS FIND OUT WHETHER THE START AND END OF THE GAME?
The start and end of the match will be announced automatically by the system (via the arena sound system) and by each phaser. The system starts recording shots immediately after the match begins and stops when the match is over. Music will play during the match, so players will know if the match is over when the music stops. To create more wow effects, we can set the DMX lights and LED floor lights to show different special effects when the match starts or ends.
HOW DO PLAYERS KNOW WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN HIT?
When someone is shot by another player, their armor and phaser begin to flash a white light and their phaser makes a sound and vibrates, so both players are aware of the shot. Depending on the game mode. the person hit will lose a life and will be able to see it on the phaser screen. If the player has more life, he can continue playing after a few seconds, otherwise the brightness of the color of his armor and his phaser will be lowered and he will have to go and load lives and ammunition.
WHAT IS THE “DURATION OF PROTECTION” AND THE “DURATION OF DANGER”?
When a player is hit, they receive a shield to protect them from being hit again immediately, and it is impossible to be hit again for a few seconds. This time is called protection time or duration and can be set and changed in the software. The hazard duration is the time the player cannot hit others after being hit by another player, but can be hit. The danger time can also be set via software for each game mode.
HOW LONG DOES A GAME LAST?
In our experience to maximize attraction revenue, the default duration of each match is 15 minutes, set on the XRAID system. However, players, before the match, can ask the operator to set a different duration (e.g. 20, 30, 45, 60 min) for their match
HOW DOES A PLAYER OR TEAM GET OR LOSE POINTS AND HOW DO THEY WIN OR LOSE A MATCH?
The game mode defines how a player or team scores or loses scores or how a player or team wins or loses a game. For more information on each game mode, visit the XRAID Player Portal.
HOW MANY DIFFERENT GAME MODES CAN BE PLAYED?
Hundreds! Although we have 20 pre-set game modes and are constantly developing new ones, we have programmed our system in an open way. This means you can use variables to find your perfect gaming style based on your wishes and your customers' wishes.
HOW CAN PLAYERS COMPARE WITH OTHER PLAYERS IN THE MATCH?
At the end of each match players can see the results of the match on the arena scoreboard and compare themselves with others. Additionally, each player will receive a printed score report to see match results and statistics to compare against other players
HOW CAN PLAYERS ACCUMULATE POINTS FOR EACH MATCH?
This is a benefit for registered members. XRAID members can accumulate points from each game. After the match all registered members' results will automatically be uploaded to a portal where players can accumulate points, compare themselves with other players in the arena and see their overall ranking among all other XRAID Laser Game players.
